Our Bluejackets are getting ready for kindergarten! 💙❤️ 🎒✏️ Through Gearing Up to Kindergarten, students are building skills, practicing routines, making connections, and getting a feel for what Kindergarten is all about - while having plenty of fun along the way! Judging by these five smiling faces (and five enthusiastic thumbs 👍), we’d say kindergarten is off to a pretty great start! We can’t wait to see all our Bluejackets back at school soon! 🚌📚

🌎💧 This week, our Summer Targeted Services students took a behind-the-scenes tour of the City of Cambridge Wastewater Treatment Facility as part of this year's theme, Our Earth and Environment. Students discovered how wastewater is cleaned and returned safely to the environment while learning about the important role water treatment plays in protecting our community and our planet. 🌱

Experiences like these bring classroom learning to life, helping students connect science, environmental stewardship, and the world around them through hands-on exploration.

A big thank you to the City of Cambridge team for sharing their knowledge and giving our students an inside look at this essential community service! 💙❤️

💙 We are incredibly grateful for the many community members who have expressed interest in helping improve our schools. 🛠️ While donated labor is always appreciated, many of our highest-priority facility projects also require specialized skills, licensed professionals, donated materials, engineering, equipment, and funding to meet safety standards and legal requirements. 🤝 If you or your business have the expertise, materials, or resources to partner with Cambridge-Isanti Schools, we would love to have those conversations with you and explore how your support can make the greatest impact for our students and schools.

Our C-I Online students had some very “leggy” visitors! We were thrilled to host Bruce the Bug Guy for a hands-on exploration of the insect world. From giant moths to fascinating (and slightly creepy-crawly!) facts, students got up close and personal with some of nature’s coolest creatures.

One of the best parts? Even as online learners, our students still have opportunities to come together in person for engaging, hands-on experiences like this—bringing learning to life in meaningful and memorable ways.

It wasn’t just a lesson, it was an experience! Seeing the curiosity, excitement, and a little bit of bravery on our students’ faces was truly a highlight of the week.

Huge thanks to Bruce for bringing the wild right into our classroom!
