Who is eligible to join the C-I Schools Online program?
How do I enroll my child in the C-I Online program?
Enrollment is easy! Click Get Started at the top of this page. Provide basic contact information and a member of our team will contact you.
If you are currently a student in our Cambridge-Isanti Schools, we will internally transfer your enrollment and you can get started online within a few days.
If you reside in a different Minnesota school district, we will walk you through the enrollment process, which includes completing a Minnesota Open Enrollment Form, and then creating an account in our Skyward New Student enrollment portal.

The K-6 C-I Schools Online program includes the Edgenuity Online Curriculum and C-I developed curriculum. All instruction is either delivered through the Edgenuity program or Google Meet. At the 7-12 level, all curriculum is aligned with our in-person middle and high schools. It is delivered through the Google Classroom or Schoology LMS which provides flexibility for the instructor to enhance any of the curriculum content.

The grading system will mirror the district's K-5 grading system or the 6-12 grading scale used in our other Cambridge-Isanti School.

Technology

Teachers

- Are the C-I online teachers licensed to work in their content areas (e.g. licensed math teachers in math classes; science teachers in science classes, etc)?

How many teachers will a student have online?
The student to teacher ratio will be similar to the regular classroom. For example, at the elementary level, students will likely have one classroom teacher. In grades 7 - 12, they would have different teachers for different content areas. The exact number of teachers may vary depending on registration in any given year.
When are teachers accessible to students?
How will my child connect with their teacher? What levels of support are there?
- Students can interact with teachers in a variety of ways, including but not limited to phone calls, video chats/conferencing or scheduled one on one/small group/whole group class activities, email, etc.
- Students will receive support in a variety of ways, such as one on one video conferencing support, small group video conferencing support, whole class video conferencing support, etc. Students will be able to message staff via the LMS or via email as well.
- C-I Schools instructional staff will be trained in screencasting in order to answer questions and provide videos demonstrating/discussion answers to the questions or support needed.

Student Life

K-8 students are invited to come into the Cambridge-Isanti Education Service Center for school pictures once a year. We will communicate in advance to let you know the date.
9-12 students may have their pictures are taken at the high school, during the CIHS picture day. Students who participate in picture would be included in the CIHS yearbook.

Parent Involvement
What are the expectations of parents?
Families are partners with C-I Schools and an adult in the family will act as a learning coach in the following ways:
- Support the student in accessing the online curriculum
- Support the student in making adequate weekly progress
- Inform the school in the event of student absences
- Partner with the school and the student to solve any academic or attendance issues that may arise
